iPhone 5 Release will be in 2012 - Most rumors are saying June - October
The iPhone 5 release date has been rumored for many different dates, including many dates in 2011. Before the release of the iPhone 4S there were talks about the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S being released together and also talks about the next iPhone would be the iPhone 5 and not the iPhone 4S. Due to Apple releasing the iPhone 4S in place of the iPhone 5 will really make the next iPhone the 6th generation and not the 5th, but who is really counting. The iPhone revolution started in 2007 and as continued strongly ever since. The iPhone 5 is said to be a world phone and after release will hold a strong 5% of phone consumers world wide. Apple has also come from the bottom to become the number one phone producer and seller.
A realistic September-October launch for Apple
The most realistic iPhone 5 release is going to be in September or October, this gives the iPhone 4S the normal year cycle that Apple likes to keep their product on to maximize profits. Also a Japanese blog Macotakara, who is an "reliable Asian source", also believe that Apple is moving away from the mid year summer launch and leaning more towards their normal 12 month product upgrade cycle. The iPhone 4S was one of the first iPhones to not have a summer launch, and surprisingly its the iPhone that has sold the most units and it was only an "upgraded" version of the iPhone 4. The orginal iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4 were all released in June or July. This was believed to be due to the attempt to get LTE working on the iPhone 4S which we can now see did not plan out how they intended. LTE is a big focus on the iPhone 5 and we are strongly believing that it will be on the iPhone 5, but that also might be another reason why they are moving again from the summer release and focusing on the early fall release of September or October.
